ANALISIS FAKTOR PENGHAMBAT PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS I SDN KABANG KECAMATAN LIMPASU

Abstract

The inhibiting factors in beginning reading experienced by each student can be caused by internal factors in the child or external factors outside the child. Internal factors include physical, intellectual and psychological factors. The external factors outside the child include the family and school environment. Teachers and parents need to seek help and assistance so that children who have difficulty reading immediately get treatment. Because barriers to learning are a common problem and often occur in students, the existence of obstacles in learning will make it difficult for students to achieve maximum learning outcomes, this should be handled immediately so that students are able to learn optimally.
The aims of this study were to: (1) analyze the inhibiting factors for beginning reading in first grade students at SDN Kabang, Limpasu sub-district; (2) Find out what solutions the teacher or school provides in overcoming the inhibiting factors for beginning reading for first grade students at SDN Kabang, Limpasu sub-district. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation in the form of photos or files which are supporting evidence in research. The subjects in this study were class I students at SDN Kabang, Limpasu District.
Based on the results of the research, the inhibiting factors for beginning reading in class I SDN Kabang Limpasu District consist of internal and external factors, some of which include low motivation to learn to read students, students not attending Kindergarten, lack of support and assistance from families to repeat learning to read because of the existing inhibiting factors, there are still some students who don't know the letters of the alphabet, don't know vowels, consonants and diphthongs, can't read syllables, can't read words. The solution taken to overcome these obstacles is by holding additional hours for students who are still hampered in reading and paying more attention to students who cannot read at the beginning.
