WRITING ERRORS IN THE USE OF INDONESIAN IN PUBLIC SERVICE FACILITIES IN HANDIL BAKTI

Abstract

This study examines writing errors in the use of Indonesian in public service facilities which aims to determine the form of writing errors and to find out the responses of office employees regarding writing errors that exist in public service facilities. The method used is a qualitative research method. The sample of this research is written communication facilities in the form of bulletin boards, and name boards contained in the offices of public service facilities such as the Alalak District Office, Setara Hospital, Handil Bakti Village Office, and PDAM Batola. The results of the study found that there were 27 data which included errors in word writing, use of punctuation marks, and use of letter marks with factors causing ignorance with the existence of good and correct Indonesian language usage rules guided by PUEBI and KBBI. So it can be concluded that there are still some institutions that make mistakes in writing the use of Indonesian.
